< The October 15, 1969, peace moratorium in protest of the ongoing Vietnam War was the largest demonstration in U.S. history, with an estimated two million Americans taking part. This photo shows marchers in the Floyds (formerly Floyd Bennett) parking lot on their way toward Jericho High School.
