I drove like a madman as the rain hammered down ...

When I got to Frank's around seven-thirty, this is what I found: no lights, no AC, no food, just like the man said.
I posted on the door a sign I'd printed up before leaving the house, advising everyone that we'd be right across the street. Then I headed over myself.
Suddenly everything brightened.
Especially my mood.

Already there were
people at the bar: Lee Silverstone, Randye Ringler, Len Kellner from the
class of '73, Dianne Oliva ('74) and Paula Wood ('75) (shown at right), and
in the restaurant,
Gerry, Caren, and Deborah. Crisis averted [fingers crossed]. Then the troops started pouring in, despite the pouring rain. On the next pages, you'll see a lot of photos of the same faces, but in different combinations from one picture to the next, which really speaks to the spirit of these reunions: in addition to renewing old friendships, you have folks who might never have said two words to one another in high school discovering common bonds based in the past, the present, or both.
