Ya know, there were other things to do besides eat, drink, and nod meaningfully while racking your brain to remember the person yakking in your face and worrying that your vacant stare might be really, really apparent.

 

For instance, at each table, you could play the perennial party-game favorite "Test Your Big, Fat Brain," by identifying the faces on the Senior Soundtrack CD. Why not try your hand right here, right now?

 

     

Or you could make like Paul Gress and Laura Polo (photo at left) and check out the exhibit in back. In addition to the chronological news of

the world from September 1971 through June 1972, there was

plenty of other stuff to look at, such as: (1) ancient artifacts (playbills,

assembly and awards ceremonies programs, and other relics; (2) recent issues of the JHS Classes of 1969-1970-1971-1972-1973 Online

Newsletter; and (3) the current issue of the Jericho retired-teachers association's newsletter, kindly sent by Mr. Rudy Cesarini. "Most

comments," he wrote, "will be, 'OMG, I thought he was dead!'"

Sounds about right.

 

 
   

 

 

Then it was time for the final raffle drawing, this time with the

assistance of Justin Bashe. He closes his eyes and reaches into
