Who's Who, What's What

< Laurie Farber and Kathy Milner win awards for a Lilco poster contest.

Laurie: "I have no memory of the poster contest."

Maybe Lilco was looking for a catchy promotion to herald the construction of its Shoreham nuclear power plant, scheduled to begin in 1968. Something on the order of "Lilco: We're Glowing With Pride!" Or how about: "Nuclear Energy Equals Megatons of Fun for Long Island!"

Kathy: "I remember it well. We won the contest, and the money I won I went for a week at scout sleep-away camp in New Jersey. I had fun, and I still keep in touch with one of my camp mates, Andrea Kuss."

Arlene: "That was taken at the camp we were sleeping at. I remember having crunchy peanut butter for the first time there. I was eating at a picnic bench under a tree, thinking that bugs had fallen into my peanut butter."
